چکیده

In late medieval and early modern times, books, as well the people who produced read (or listened to) them, moved between regions, social circles, languages with relative ease. Yet, in multilingual Low Countries, francophone literature was both internationally mobile firmly rooted local soil. The five contributions collected this volume demonstrate that while general issues of ‘otherness’ were resolved without difficulty, at other times (linguistic) differences perceived a heartfelt reality.
